Scholarship Opportunities

The NCBW Metropolitan Nashville Legacy Scholarship Award was established in  2021 to honor the memory of NCBW members: Mrs. Ivanetta Hughes Davis, Mrs. Lettie Galloway, Dr. Linda P. Hare, Dr. Ruth Dennis, Dr. Thren Womack and Ms. Marilyn Robinson. Its mission is to further the education of young African American women who reside in the Metropolitan Nashville and Middle Tennessee area.

Eligibility

Below are the individual scholarship requirements and details.

Successful applicants will:

  • be an African-American female
  • high school graduate
  • complete a scholarship application
  • possess a minimum GPA of 3.0

Scholarship recipients will be required to submit:

  • proof of enrollment in a US-based college or university
  • official transcript
  • student aid report from FAFSA
  • professional photo for application and promotional use​
