Courageous Couch Conversations: Black Women and Mental Health
A virtual panel discussion addressing the stigma surrounding mental and emotional health among Black women. Participants received insights into collective cultural narratives, understanding how individual traumas manifest in various aspects of their lives. The discussion also delved into the impact of societal and political events on stress and mental health, contributing to overall effects on wellness.

TSU Blue Goes Red: Heart to Heart with Tennessee State University College Students
NCBW Metro Nashville partnered with Tennessee State University and ARAMARK Corporation to host an in-person event on the campus of Tennessee State University. The goal of this event was to educate TSU students on the importance of heart health and to learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The session was led by NCBW Member Dr. Katherine Y. Brown, National CPR Spokesperson Learn CPR America, LLC. Marissa Castano, ARAMARK representative and dietician, presented recipes for healthy food options.

A panel discussion focusing on key factors such as behavior, genetics, and access to healthy food and safe spaces for physical activity for children, aimed at combatting childhood obesity.
