The mission of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. is to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls and to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment. Our vision is to see Black Women and girls live in a world where socio-economic inequity does not exist.

Health

Healthy communities are thriving communities. NCBW is committed to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of communities of color in Nashville and its surrounding areas. Our primary advocacy areas are Family & Childhood Obesity, Cancer & Health Disparities, and Metabolic Disease.

Education

NCBW supports youth in achieving their educational goals by providing support services. Our goal is to create future leaders by providing positive experiences, fostering positive self-perception, encouraging excellence in education, and promoting lifelong learning.

Economic Empowerment

NCBW’s economic programs emphasize financial literacy, wealth building, and entrepreneurship. Programs include comprehensive workshops and seminars that promote economic self-sufficiency. Our ‘Sister-Nomic$’ philosophy guides NCBW’s path to economic empowerment and creating generational wealth.

Meet the 2021-2023 Chapter President: Janet Rachel

Greetings and welcome to the website for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Metropolitan Nashville Chapter (NCBW). I am honored you have chosen to learn more about NCBW and our role and impact in the Metropolitan Nashville community.

As the 10th President of the Metropolitan Nashville Chapter, I have the pleasure of serving alongside progressive and dynamic women who are continuing to build on our efforts to influence policy that supports our mission. Through impactful programming and advocacy efforts, our chapter has received Model Chapter recognition from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. for two consecutive years.

As we continue our advocacy work on behalf of black women and girls we welcome the opportunity to collectively work together and invite you to consider supporting our efforts. We are grateful and extend thanks to our committed partners, sponsors, and friends for their ongoing support of our programming and signature programs, i.e., Sister for Sister Leadership Conference, Emerging Leader Awards, Legacy Scholarship, and Women Vote Early.

24th Annual Sister for Sister Leadership Conference and Emerging Leader Awards

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Metropolitan Nashville Chapter held its 24th Annual Sister for Sister Leadership Conference and Emerging Leader Awards at the luxurious Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, TN.

This extraordinary in-person experience featured distinguished speakers, engaging breakout sessions and panel discussions aimed at preparing women and girls for leadership roles in the workplace and community. Attendees also enjoyed our esteemed Women of Color luncheon and Susan Short Jones Emerging Leader Award presentation.
